About

Gethsemane Baptist Church

Gethsemane Baptist Church was founded upon the scriptural basis of Mark 16:15, to "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." It has been the focus of this local church ministry to use every available resource to convey the message of redemption through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ to the world. We are involved in the preaching and teaching of the word of God, taking the message to the streets of our area through street ministries (preaching and tract distribution) and touching the world through means of internet radio. We trust that, if God so leads, that you will visit Gethsemane Baptist Church for yourself, to see what the Lord is doing.

Gethsemane Baptist Church was organized and founded by Pastor Billy D. Randall on July 23,1977 in Lexington, South Carolina.
Pastor Randall and his wife Doris served the Lord faithfully for twenty-six years as the senior pastor of Gethsemane. The Lord used Pastor Randall to establish a strong biblical foundation for the church.

In 2003, after being trained and ordained under the ministry of Pastor Randall, Pastor Stephen Williamson became the senior pastor at Gethsemane.
The church was originally located at 334 Andrew Corley Road in Lexington, South Carolina, but in 2013 moved to 300 Alliance Road in Lexington where we are currently located.
